If you're plus sized, chances are the doctor might have told you to lose weight. I had the honor of a doctor muttering over and over again while he took my pulse.. "You should lose weight... eat less.. you really should shed those pounds... your health problems are weight related... you really should lose weight." Okay, he got away with his life but he had a point. Hence I'm into exercise and detox but not starvation diets. I'm very against the media's obsession with so-skinny-a-breeze-would-blow-her-away types. I've nothing against thin women who due to high metabolic rate or other health reasons are unable to gain weight, but I think starvation diets are ridiculous.
